1953 MG TD 1.3

A well looked after MG TD with its unique and original mascot, a great history & provonce. Sadly For Sale due to moving home. The car has had the maintenance it deserves and has been driven on a regular basis, weather permitting, to many classic car meetings and outings. Most of UK visited including I.O.M., I.O.W. and France. Refitted items documented via invoices & documents. Sympathetic upgrades over the years to make it reliable – 5 speed gear box type 9 conversion, electrinic ignition, new timing chain & guides, new vains in rad, electric fan system, upgraded water pump, brakes realigned now bedded in, Brockley tyres, new S/S exhaust, new dynamo, new hood, frame & touneau 2 years ago, new screen & refreshed frame, new wiper motor, restored carbs with pancake filters. Many other things to numerous to mention. No nasty chassi/underneath rust. All visible via the pit in my garage. Paint not perfect but in keeping with age. It has always been a right hand drive with the original engine. The provonance was discovered in the paperwork trail of its journey to the UK. It was owned by an American who was stationed in Sri Lanka. The car was shipped for him by the US goverment back to Langley Virginia. It was his cover car whilst serving at the embassy in Sri Lanka. Documents available. This lovely MG TD is in good running order having been fully maintained yet modernised sparingly to improve its capability. Viewing strongly advised (with no obligation).
